DESSERT FRUIT NO.2 (1923)

Among the aristocracy of 17th century France, dessert was known as “le fruit” because it usually consisted of a collection of sweet-tasting fruits served after the main dinner. The new name, “dessert” was later introduced during the French Revolution.
