THE BEE'S KNEES

In the 1920s jaunty sounding rhymes and nonsense terms denoting excellence came into fashion. Although the Americans came up with the expression “bee's knees”, it was the Brits who revived it in the 70's and 80's along with the widely used “dog's bollocks”.
