FISHING IN SPRING, THE PONT DE CLICHY (ASNIÈRES) (1887)

The painting depicts the riverbank of the Seine at the Pont de Clichy where the artist often painted accompanied by Signac. Under the artist influence, Van Gogh’s paintings assumed two main characteristics: brighter colours and more varied brushstrokes. Artwork by Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890).
