PATENT OF BICYCLE (1887)

£3.50
SKU GCA6-PTT047

Text on the reverse side:

With the absence of gears, old fashioned bikes relied on having bigger wheels to propel a bigger push from the pedals for speed. The large wheel also enabled a smoother ride over the bumps and cracks, which was much needed considering the poor conditions of streets at the time.
