DAISY BY MORRIS

By the British textile designer, poet and novelist, William Morris (1834-1896). The name of the flower comes from an Old English word meaning “day’s eye” because the flower only opens during the day. In the early 1800s, the word “daisy” became a slang word for something of excellent quality.
