BLACKTHORN (1892)

British textile designer and potter William Morris (1834-1896) incorporated the natural world, in particular the British wildness, in much of his works. The blackthorn represents protection and hope in the midst of difficult times, serving as a symbol of overcoming obstacles leading to a better future.
