Text on the reverse side:

Throughout the Tudor period, dogs were popular pets and were often kept as guard dogs and used for hunting. The breed of dog a person could own depended on their social class and some dogs such as greyhounds could only be owned by nobility. Frederick Dielman (1847-1935) was a German-American painter best known for his historical and mural paintings.
