BEAUTIES MAKING KIMONO- LEFT (1885)

Traditional kimono is made out of a narrow width bolt of dyed silk, cotton, hemp or wool, cut into rectangular shapes and sewn together with a silk thread. When cleaning, the pieces are taken apart, cleaned and assembled again.
