This photo from 15th September 1954 was to promote the film The Seven Year Itch. The filming took place at 1am as thousands of fans watched Marilyn Monroe on a subway grate in New York City. Actress Debbie Reynolds, sold the iconic dress for $4.6m in 2011, which she had purchased for $200 in 1971.
