There are numerous benefits that come with reading. One benefit was confirmed via a study which found how the act of reading was essential for maintaining brain health in later life. Results showed that it is 2 ½ times less likely that a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s will happen if the brain is exercised with regular reading.
