LAVISH AND LUSH

The 1760s saw the hairstyles adding a quarter to half the length of the face. By the mid to late 1770s, huge hair became all the rage with the height, sometimes reaching 1.5 times the length of the face, decorated with ribbons, pearls, jewels, flowers - sometimes adding birdcages, ships and other sensational adornments.
