LONDON BRIDGE FROM BOROUGH (1862-79)

Since the start of the 13th C, several bridges named ‘London Bridge’ have connected the City of London and Southwark across the River Thames. The London Bridge in this photograph opened in 1831 to replace the prior medieval-built bridge.
