JAPANESE FOOTBRIDGE BY MONET

Monet was a passionate horticulturist and in 1893 he purchased a property near Giverny and built his water lilies garden. In 1899, he began a series of twelve painting of the same subject, depicting the wooden footbridge over the pond.
