ABOUT THE ARTIST

Utagawa Hiroshige was a japanese ukiyo-e artist, perhaps one of the greatest at the time who was well known for his horizontal-format landscape series, One hundred Famous Views of Edo. His main focus in his drawings was beautiful women, popular actors, and usually urban pleasure districts of Japan's Edo Period.
